Hi!
I’m a 24yo graduate who’s going to start to work in London this autumn and needs a room and some Swedish house mates to practice his favorite language and live in good company.
As per the title, I’m Italian and have been living in England for over three years now (hopefully getting to be the best of both worlds), I have a strong interest in languages (English, Italian, conversational Swedish and French, a pinch of Japanese and Latin) and a passion for Scandinavia, Sweden especially (my father used to work for a Swedish company, that’s how it all started).
Eventually, I plan to move there and/or I might have to move for work. Therefore I’d like to live in a Swedish household to improve and have fun.
Details would be as follow:
- Double room, not insanely big but something bigger than most single rooms. The fact that the window doesn't face the main road would be a big plus. I have this terrible habit of sleeping at night, eh.
- Two or more Swedes in the house (so I can listen to them talking to each other). If they are interested in languages and kind of grammar geeks, even better.
- Nearly Swedish quality facilities for the house in general. Double glazing, broadband internet, decent shower and a good heating system would be essential.
- No specific area as long as it's not more than 30 minutes from Chancery Lane and it is SAFE. If it's an ugly area but safe, then it's perfect.
- Time for the move: anytime in August. I will move for good in the last 3-4 days of the month or so, it would be no prob to pay the rent of the whole month of August I think.
- My budget is up to 800 pounds per calendar month including bills and council tax. I would consider 700 a very good deal and 600 a total steal (i.e. I would most likely pay you a bonus if I move in, possibly in wine)
Apart from this, I’m a straightforward, uncomplicated, reasonable and respectful person who generally likes a quiet life. I’m more of a “cat person” than a “dog person”, so to say. I’m very clean and tidy in terms of communal areas. I have a job so money is definitely not an issue, I’ll be paying rent, bills and, in the case, Swedish lessons on time ; )
My other interests include music (mainly alternative rock and pop), playing electric guitar and keyboards (I DO use headphones ^_^), watching movies and British comedy, video games, traveling, photography. Nights in are as welcome as nights out (if not more), what really matters are the people I’m with.
Regards
ƒranz
